Domestic and foreign tourists welcomed the “Bridge of Time” exhibition at Pars Museum
The importance of holding artistic events in historical places from the perspective of Yootab Hakhamanesh
Yootab Hakhamanesh: As an artist, I believe that placing modern works alongside ancient works in this exhibition is a conscious effort to show the continuity and evolution of artistic expression over time. My goal is to create an intergenerational dialogue.
Tourismonline: On the occasion of Cultural Heritage Week, the “Bridge of Time” exhibition with the works of contemporary artist Yootab Hakhamanesh was opened to the public at the Pars Museum (Bagh Nazar) on the Zandiyeh axis of Shiraz and was well received by art lovers and domestic and foreign tourists.
This time, with her works, contemporary artist Yootab Hakhamanesh invited the visitors’ gaze to a journey between the past and the present at the Pars Museum. This exhibition was a bold attempt by this international artist and activist for cultural heritage, peace, and ecology to show continuity, difference, and transformation in the world of art.

In this unparalleledevent exhibition, the ancient artifacts of the Pars Museum – symbols of myth, ritual and power – were placed alongside Yootab’s conceptual and contemporary works, which meaningfully showcased a dialogue between generations and artistic languages.
Her artworks reflected concerns such as personal identity, modern biology, media and the digital world. This juxtaposition crystallized the main message of the “Bridge of Time” exhibition: that art is born of its own time, place and circumstances of it’s creator.
“Bridge of Time” was a visual and philosophical journey through thousands of years of art, reminding the visitor that art has never been and never will be static. With her artworks, Yootab showed that although tools and forms change, the human desire to represent the world has a common essence that manifests itself in a new language at every moment.
The powerful message of this exhibition was to establish a dialogue between different generations. The juxtaposition of works from different eras not only bridged the gap in time, but also built a bridge between tradition and modernity.

Regarding the holding of this exhibition at the Pars Museum, Yootab said: “As an artist, I believe that placing modern works alongside ancient works in this exhibition is a conscious effort to show the continuity and evolution of artistic expression over time.”
My goal is to create an intergenerational dialogue; a dialogue that shows that human concerns, although expressed in different tools and languages, have deep, common roots.
This confrontation not only has a deeper understanding, but also reveals the power of time in shaping art and people’s view of the world.
She stated: “Art, unlike static concepts, is a dynamic chain, each link of which draws strength from the previous one.”
When a modern work is seen alongside an ancient painting, not only does the contrast between them become apparent, but also the invisible connections become clear; how human concerns, despite differences in time and language, share their essence.
Art history is a Narrative is not linear and closed, but rather a living bridge between yesterday’s experience and today’s creation. It is a bridge that translates the timeless spirit of man and the boundless essence of art from the heart of history into the language of today.
