Shiraz Expo 2025, a Magnificent Showcase of Iran

Tourismonline: After 4 days of diverse and rich activities and events, which enjoyed by thousands of visitors from different countries, curtain of Shiraz Expo 2025, the first expo held in the Fars Pro came down on Friday, 17th October  2025, at the Fars International Permanent Fairground.

Aiming to strengthen Iran’s economic ties with the Persian Gulf’s littoral states, southern city of Shiraz had opened its first international exhibition showcasing export opportunities and new technologies.

Shiraz Expo 2025 was not only an event for showcasing capabilities, but also a gold opportunity to become a real market and a turning point in the economy of the region .

Since 1851, Expos have helped humanity make sense of change and chart a more progressive future by gathering people and nations under the common banner of Education, Innovation and Cooperation. From their earliest manifestations as a showcase of industrial prowess to their modern incarnation as platforms for cross-border collaboration, Expos have transformed cities, shaped debates on key issues, and provided unforgettable experiences to hundreds of millions of visitors.

Europe has been a hub of culture, trade and progress for decades, and nowhere is this more evident than in the thriving network of expos, exhibitions and festivals that feature on its calendar throughout the year? Expos and major events have increasingly become pillars in shaping the economic and social landscape across Europe. From iconic trade fairs in Germany to high-tech exhibitions in Scandinavia, these grand events are not just temporary gatherings for professionals, but also transformative mechanisms that strengthen local economies and lead to international cooperation.

This was also true on a smaller scale for the Shiraz Expo 2025, where 150 foreign business and investment delegations, focusing on the Persian Gulf countries and hundreds of Iranian companies had gathered. This exhibition was a special opportunity for the host to showcase its achievements and ambitious plans for the future. It was also an opportunity to attract thousands of visitors, tourists, investors, businessmen, companies and officials.

According to Amiri, the governor general of Fars Pro the Shiraz Expo 2025 was held with the widespread presence of foreign delegations and domestic and foreign companies, and during the 4 days of the event, 60 contracts and MOU worth more than three billion dollars were signed.
